Does Protein Buddy track water?
Yes. Say yes to Track water in setup, or tick Water under What to track in Settings, and you get a daily water goal worked out from your body weight and activity. Log drinks from the menu, the calendar or the assistant, and see each day's water in your calendar. Protein stays the one number on your Home screen, and water tracking is free.
Is there an app that tracks protein and water?
Yes, Protein Buddy. Protein leads with a personal daily goal, and water sits right beside it with a goal of its own. Log protein by photo, voice, barcode or by hand, log water in a tap or by telling the assistant, and every day's protein and water add up in your calendar.
How much water should I drink a day?
It depends on your size and how active you are. Protein Buddy starts from about 30 ml per kilogram of body weight, held between 1.5 and 3 liters a day, with a little more if you are active. You can type your own goal whenever you like, and if your clinician has given you a number, use theirs.
Should I track water on a GLP-1 medication?
Many people do. The medication guides for GLP-1 drugs remind you to drink fluids, and a smaller appetite makes both drinking and eating easy to forget. Protein Buddy keeps protein front and center and water close at hand, each against its own goal. Your prescriber's advice always comes first.
Can I log water by talking to the assistant?
Yes. Tell the assistant you had a glass of water, or how much you drank, and it logs it for you. Mention water along with a meal and one card logs both. Ask how much you have had today and it tells you.
Does water replace protein on the Home screen?
No. Protein is the one number on your Home screen, always. Water has its own tile in your calendar, its own goal, and a place in the menu and the assistant, so it is there when you want it and out of the way when you do not.
